Introducing Flare The Floozy
It is Floozy's world, we all just live in it..
After much strong support and love for the latest mixtape #PressConference, I had to know more about how Nic "Flare The Floozy" Griffith came about. Sometimes the listeners don't get a chance to know more about the man behind the music. I enjoyed reviewing the answers that he gave me, some were very comical but nonetheless, honest and that's all I could ask for. I asked Floozy:
Why do you refer to yourself as "Floozy"?
Floozy be the name. Don't ask me how I got it
How do you currently measure yourself on the scale of success of where you are versus where you want to be?
I'm still local as f**k! But I've only been rapping for a year so
I'm actually very proud of where I'm at thus far. I still have a long ways
to get where I wanna be though.
Who would you compare yourself to in the mainstream as being similar to or competition?
I try not to compare myself to any other artist. I have my
influences here & there. And as far as competition? There isn't any, only because I do ME. It's not a competition. I don't rap to be better
than anybody else I just wanna be the best ME I can be, ya know.
Growing up, who did you aspire to be like?
Eminem & Bone Thugs & Harmony
How do you feel you've changed musically over the past years and since your first mixtape?
I just think I've grown a lot more as a song writer and an artist. I'm
starting to put a little more "me" in music, so its becoming more
personal. [Which is] probably why my feedback is becoming more positive from the
listeners.
How do you plan to solidify your aspirations?
I'm just gonna outwork my peers and keep coming with a fresh sound.
Quality over quantity is the motto! The music just feels good. None of
that hater sh*t! Quit worrying about what the next n***a is doing. Quit
worrying about who yo b*tch is f**king and just GET MONEY! That's how
we gon' get to the top! ACC it's a movement
If you could perform with any prominent artist, who would you choose?
Probably 2 Chainz
Why do you think the music industry is so hard to get into?
'Cuz everybody and they mama raps. P.S., go grab my mommas mixtape on Datpiff..lol JK
What
makes you so much different than the next independent artist? Why do
you deserve to be signed to a major record label before someone else?
I just think my style and
mindset alone set me apart from most artists. My whole team just
different. This sh*t is a lifestyle. It's def[initely] all real!

Any upcoming performances?
We're planning our own ACC venue, but this isn't the
best season with all the holiday parties going on, but the homie

#PRESSCONFERENCE
You may remember the smooth, yet raunchy verse of CMG's
track "LoveHer" that featured accomplished independent artist, Flare
The Floozy. He recently dropped a solo project of his own entitled, Press Conference. My
Twitter timeline was overflowing with positive support so I had to see what all
the hype was about. After my first listen, I was pleasantly surprised and I can
say I am a fan instantly. The versatility in production was captivating and I
loved it. Floozy is avidly working to solidify his future aspirations and
making a name for himself not only in Milwaukee, but all around the nation. He
is a very hungry artist and it shows throughout Press Conference. He nailed
this project and any true music listener would agree that he sold his product
very well. Just when you thought you figured out the type of artist he is, he
surprises his audience with a track like "Sunshine" which shows a
more affectionate side to his music while remaining true to his Hip Hop upbringing.
He sheds his tough exterior to give his fan base more of who he is. The video
was done by the talented @PhillyFlyboy. "Sunshine" video had the
clear and concise elements of what a music video should look like. My favorites
include, "This Aint That," "Team No Sleep." "Sunshine"
& "So Cold." The extremely catchy lyrics and sharp beats consumed
me instantly. Press Conference is a pure and concrete Hip Hop project and
Floozy has the ear pleasing and eye catching capabilities to have longevity in
his career. If Hip Hop is really dying among the mainstream, Floozy is able to
revive it with his smooth lyricism and irresistible talents. Press Conference
is only the beginning of what the world will hear from Flare The Floozy.
